Ecdysone titers during postembryonic development of Drosophila melanogaster☆
[摘要] ThelevelofecdysoneinDrosophilamelanogasterwasdeterminedbyaradioimmuneassayinorganismsselectedbetweenthesecondlarvalinstarandmaturity.Maximainthetiterofthehormonewereobservedatpupariumformationand38hrlater,justpriortothesecretionoftheadultcuticle.Thelevelofecdysonewasverylowinadultsofeithersex.However,adultfemaleshadsignificantlymoreecdysoneperorganismthandidmales.Themagnitudeofthisdifferencecouldbecorrelatedwithovariandevelopment,suggestingapossibleroleforecdysoneinovarianmaturationinthisorganism.
