[摘要] Furtherdata,includingtwo-dimensionalgelelectrophoresisandpeptidemappingofnewlysynthesizedproteins,confirmstheviewthatoocytesmakeseveraltypesofhistone.Thenewlysynthesizedhistoneispresentinbothnucleusandcytoplasm,butatahigherconcentrationintheoocytenucleusandingreatexcessovertheDNAbindingsites.Theunfertilizedeggseemstocontainapoolofhistonesdetectableontwo-dimensionalelectrophoretograms.Thepeptidemapsoftheseproteinsareconsistentwiththeiridentificationashistones.Theeggcontainsenoughhistonetosupportnuclearreplicationthroughmostofcleavage.
