Ontogeny of tyrosine aminotransferase in Xenopus laevis☆
[摘要] Thedevelopmentoftyrosineaminotransferase(TAT)activityinXenopuslaevisembryoswasstudied.Undividedeggscantransaminatetyrosinetosomeextent.Theenzymeactivityincreasesafterhatchingonthethirddayofdevelopment.Intheearlystagesofdevelopment,thetransaminationoftyrosineisduetoaspartateaminotransferase(ASAT,EC2.6.1.1),bothisoenzymesofwhicharepresentintheundividedegg.NospecificTAT(EC2.6.1.5)canbedetecteduntiltheageofabout1day,atwhichtimeneurulationiscompleteandtherapiddevelopmentoftheforegutandvisceralpouchesandarcheshasbegun.Theappearanceoftheenzymeisimmediatelyprecededbyasteepincreaseintheconcentrationoffreetyrosine.Tyrosineaminotransferaseisknowntobeinducedbyitssubstrateintheadultliver,andasimilareffectmayoperateintheembryo.
