[摘要] MesenchymalcellpolaritywasstudiedinthedevelopingcartilagesofchickvertebralbodiesandlimbsusingasilverimpregnationtechniquefortheGolgiapparatus.Distinctpatternsofcellorientationareapparentinthecellsatanumberofdifferentstagesofmorphogenesis.Thedatasupportthehypothesisthatindividualcellsareinherentlypolarized,andthatmorphogenesisofmulticellularpatternsresultsfromthecoordinatedthree-dimensionalorientationofanisotropiccells.
