Appearance of cell surface auto- and isoantigens during spermatogenesis in the rabbit
[摘要] Theappearanceofspermatogeniccellsurfaceauto-andisoantigenscanbepreciselydeterminedbyutilizingtechniquesthatseparatespermatogeniccells.Usingcytotoxic(complementdependent)auto-andiso-rabbitantirabbitwholesemensera,specificspermatogenicauto-andisoantigenswerefirstdetectedfollowingthematurationofspermatogoniaintoprimarypachytenespermatocytes.Theantiseraemployedwerecytotoxic(complementdependent)forpachytenediploteneandprimaryspermatocytesandspermatidsbutnotfortypeA,intermediate,ortypeBspermatogonia.Furthermore,Sertolicells,endothelialcells,Leydigcells,anderythrocyteswerenotlysedbytheantisera.Theseobservationssupporttheconceptofablood-testisbarrier.Onlyaftermigrationofspermatogoniatotheluminalsideofthebarriercanautoantigenicmoleculesbesynthesizedand/orinsertedintotheplasmamembraneofspermatogeniccells.Thus,theappearanceofsurfaceautoantigensoffersamodelsystemtostudythesynthesisofspecificmoleculeswhichareinsertedintotheplasmamembraneataprecisetimeduringdevelopment.
