Scanning electron microscopy of Drosophila melanogaster embryogenesis: II. Gastrulation and segmentation☆
[摘要] ThesequenceofgastrulationeventsinDrosophilamelanogaster,startingwiththecellularblastodermandculminatinginasegmentedembryo,havebeenstudiedwithscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM).Extensiveuseismadeofdissectedembryostoillustratechangestakingplacewithintheembryoduringgastrulation.Duringthefirst15minofgastrulation,themesodermalportionofthegermbandisestablishedbytheinvaginationofapproximately1000cellsthroughtheventralfurrow.Theprimordiafortheproctodeumandhindgutareshowntoformduringearlygastrulation.Detailedexaminationofthesurfacesofinvaginatingprimordiashowssimilaritiestoothersystemsandsuggestspossibleunderlyingmechanisms.Germbandelongationandtheformationoftheamnioserosaaredescribed.Atthetimeofsegmentation,threepairsofrudimentarycephalicappendagesdevelopposteriortothecephalicfurrow.Trachealpitsinvaginateonalleightabdominalsegmentsandonthesecondandthirdthoracicsegments.Modificationsoftheembryonicfatemaparediscussed.
