Cell cycle changes during growth and differentiation of imaginal leg discs in Drosophila melanogaster☆
[摘要] TherelativeDNAcontentofDrosophilamelanogasterimaginallegdiscnucleiduringlarvalgrowthandpupalandadultdifferentiationwasmeasuredbymicrospectrophotometry.Duringthelarvalproliferativephasethereweretwiceasmanynucleiinthe4Cclassasnucleiinthe2Cclass.Attheendofthethirdlarvalinstar,theproportionofnucleiwitha4CDNAvalueincreased.By3hrafterpupariation,duringpupalcuticlesecretion,90%ofthenucleiwereinthisclass.Afterpupalapolysiswhichoccursat12hrafterpupariation,the4Cto2Cratiowasreversed.Theincreaseintheproportionofnucleiwitha2Cvaluewasobserveduntil24hrafterpupariationwhen90%ofthenucleiwereinthisclass.Weproposethatmostcellsdivideatleastoncebetweenpupalandadultdifferentiation.Allofthesechangesinthecellcyclewerecorrelatedtemporallywithchangesintheecdysteroidtitersthatoccurduringtheseperiods.
