Isolation of sea urchin embryo histone H2Aα1 and immunological identification of other stage-specific H2A proteins☆
[摘要] H2Aα1,theprincipalH2Ahistonesynthesizedpriortotheblastulastageoftheseaurchin,wasisolatedfreeofotherputativeH2Asubtypesandotherhistones.ItsaminoacidcompositionprovidesconfirmationthatH2Aα1istheH2AproteinencodedinthehistonegeneclustercarriedbypCO2.Anantibodypreparedagainstthisproteincross-reactsstronglywithCS2A(aputativeH2Asynthesizedonlyduringthecleavagestage)aswellaswithH2Aβ,H2Aγ,andH2Aδ(putativeH2Assynthesizedprincipallyaftertheblastulastage)butnotwithnon-H2Acorehistonesorothernuclearproteins.ThedatasupporttheviewthatCS2A,H2Aα1,H2Aβ,H2Aγ,andH2AδareallH2Aproteins.
