Protein synthesis and accumulation in Drosophila melanogaster imaginal discs: Identification of a protein with a nonrandom spatial distribution☆
[摘要] ProteinsfromDrosophilaimaginaldiscsanddiscfragmentswereanalyzedontwo-dimensionalelectrophoreticgelsfollowinglabelinginvitrowith[35S]methionine.Theproteinsyntheticpatterninautoradiogramsisverycomplexandparallelsthepatternofproteinaccumulationvisualizedinsilver-stainedgels.Wefindnoreproduciblequalitativedifferencesintheproteinssynthesizedoraccumulatedbydifferentdisctypes.Additionally,analysisoftheproteinssynthesizedbydifferentfragmentsofwingandhalterediscshasresultedintheidentificationofapolypeptidewhichissynthesizedpreferentiallyinhomologousregionsofthesetwoimaginaldiscs.Scanningdensitometryofourautoradiogramscorroboratesthesefindings.Thisprotein,therefore,hassomeofthepropertiesonewouldpredictforamoleculeinvolvedintheimaginaldiscpositionalinformationsystem.
