Effects of cholera toxin and actinomycin on synthesis of [35S]methionine-labeled proteins during progesterone-induced maturation of Xenopus laevis oocytes☆
[摘要] Theincorporationof[35S]methionineintopolypeptidesduringprogesterone-inducedmeioticmaturationofXenopuslaevisoocyteswasstudiedbytwo-dimensionalpolyacrylamidegelelectrophoresis.Fivemodificationswereconsistentlyobserved:twopolypeptidesofanapproximatemolecularweightof150KdaltonsandpI5werenewproteins,tworepresentincreasedincorporationandonewasdecreasedincorporation.Choleratoxininhibitedtheappearanceofthemodificationsinducedbyprogesterone.Actinomycinandenucleationdidnotsignificantlyalterthemodifications.Thesedataindicatethatagoodcorrelationexistsbetweenthemodificationsinproteinsynthesisinducedbyprogesteroneandtheresumptionofmeioticcelldivision.
