[摘要] Theeffectofweakbasesonstarfishoocytematurationinducedby1-methyladenine(1-MeAde)wasinvestigated.Ammoniumchloride,nicotine,andprocaineinhibitedmeiosisreinitiationinducedbyeither1-MeAdeordithiothreitol.TheinhibitoryeffectoftheweakbaseswashighlydependentonthepHofseawaterandincreasedwiththeincreaseinpH.Theseweakbasesneitherinhibitednordelayedmeiosisreinitiationwhengivenaftertheendofthehormone-dependentperiod,theperiodduringwhich1-MeAdeisrequiredformeiosistooccur,whereastheyblockedhormoneactionwhenaddedjustbeforetheendofthehormone-dependentperiod.
