Development of crimp morphology and cellular changes in chick tendons
[摘要] Tendonsfromthetarsusmetatarsusregionsofchickembryos,ages10,14,15,and16days,wereexaminedbyopticalpolarization,opticaltransmission,andelectrontransmissionmicroscopytostudythedevelopmentofcrimpswhicharecommonlyobservedinadulttendons,ligaments,andothercollagenoustissueswhichsupporttension.Itisshownthatthedevelopmentofcrimpstructureisaccompaniedbymorphologicalchangesinfibroblasts.
