Effect of phenylhydrazine on the multiple hemoglobins of Rana catesbeiana tadpoles☆
[摘要] TadpolesofRanacatesbeianaimmersedinorinjectedwithphenylhydrazineshowapreferentiallossfromthecirculationoftheelectrophoreticallyfastesthemoglobin(Hb)andretentionoftheelectrophoreticallyslowerHb'sonpolyacrylamidedisk-gels.TheelectrophoreticallyslowestHbhaspreviouslybeenfoundtobesynthesizedinthekidneywhiletheotherHb'saresynthesizedintheliver.WepostulatethatthedifferentialresponseofthetadpolehemoglobinstotheactionofphenylhydrazineresultsfromthedifferentHb'sbeingfoundindifferentredbloodcelllinesthatoriginateindifferenterythropoietictissues.
