X chromosome expression during oogenesis in the mouse☆
[摘要] Theactivitiesofglucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase(G6PD)andlactatedehydrogenase(LDH)havebeenassayedinmouseoocytesatseveralstagesoffollicledevelopmentisolatedfromXXandXOfemalemice.ThroughouttheentiregrowthperiodtheactivityofG6PDwasproportionaltothenumberofXchromosomespresentintheoocyte,whereasnodifferenceinLDHactivitywasdetectedbetweenXXandXOoocytes.Itisconcluded,therefore,thatbothXchromosomesarefunctionalthroughoutoogenesis.
