Immunological study of lung development in the mouse embryo: Appearance of a lung-specific antigen, localized in the great alveolar cell
[摘要] Afterpreparationofanantiserumspecificallyrecognizingtheantigenicdeterminantsofadultmouselungtissue,theexistenceofalung-specificantigencouldbedemonstratedbyimmunodiffusionstudiesinagar.Thisspecificanti-adultlungserumwasusedinimmunofluorescencestudiestolocalizethecorrespondingantigeninadultmouselungtissue.Comparisonoftheresultsofimmunofluorescentstainingwiththoseofhistochemicalenzymestainingshowedthatthelung-specificantigenislocalizedinthegreatalveolarcell.Subsequently,thesameantiserumwasusedinimmunodiffusionstudiestofollowthedevelopmentofthelung-specificantigeninthemouseembryo.Theresultsindicatethatthelung-specificantigenfirstappearsinembryoswithaweightofbetween760and900mg,whichcorrespondswithadevelopmentalageofbetween16.76and17.23days.
