Developmental changes in chromatin proteins of the sea urchin from blastula to mature larva☆
[摘要] ChromatinproteinsoftheseaurchinLytechinuspictusfromblastulatofullygrownfeedinglarvawereanalyzedbypolyacrylamide-gelelectrophoresis.Twosubspeciesofhistoneproteinchangedduringdevelopment.Histonef1gincreasedprogressivelyrelativetof1mandwithinafewdaysafterthelarvaebegantofeedconstituted>99%ofthef1fraction.Twoslower-movingsubfractionsofhistonef2bdisappearedinthesameinterval,beingreplacedbyasinglefastermovingspecies.Theelectrophoreticprofileofnonhistoneproteinchangedquantitativelyandqualitativelywiththelargestchange,arelativedecreaseofhighmolecularweightbandsandanewpatternofmiddlemolecularweightbands,alsooccurringseveraldaysafterfeedingbegan.Theprofilesremainedvirtuallythesameduringsubsequentdevelopmentthoughthecellnumberincreasedatleasttenfold.Theonsetoffeedingthusseemstobecorrelatedwithmajorchangesinchromatinproteins.
