Template1 preferences of DNA polymerase and nuclease activities appearing during early development of Xenopus laevis
[摘要] ThethreeDNApolymeraseactivitiesidentifiedinearlyembryosofXenopuslaevis(Benbowetal.,1975)werefurtherdistinguishedbytheirtemplatepreferences,pHoptimaandsensitivitytomonovalentcations.Inaddition,endoandexonucleaseactivitiesatpH7.5wereidentifiedandmonitoredthroughearlydevelopment.Endonucleaseactivityincreasedthroughoutearlydevelopmentwhileexonucleaseactivityremainednearlyconstant.ThesenucleaseactivitieswerenotresponsibleforthedifferenttemplatepreferencesofthepartiallypurifiedDNApolymeraseactivities.
