[摘要] Unlaid,explantedeggsofPimplaturionellaecanbeactivatedbymechanicaldeformation.Time-lapsefilmsofcleavageandblastodermformationinsucheggsshowthatinsomeofthemthenormalcentralflowofooplasm,whichtransportstheenergids,isreducedorabsent.Instead,aperipheralsyncytialringmovesalongtheantero-posterioreggaxisanddistributesnucleiwithintheperiplasm.
