Aminoacyl-tRNA binding activity in regenerating kidney following contralateral nephrectomy or administration of folic acid☆
[摘要] Homogenatesofkidneycortexobtained2or7daysfollowingcontralateralnephrectomyorfolicacidinjectionwereseparatedintoaribosomefractionandintoapostmicrosomalpH5supernatantfraction.Theactivityofeachofthesefractionsforpeptidesynthesisfrom[14C]phenylalanyl-tRNAwastestedbycomplementationwithsimilarfractionsobtainedfromnormalratliver.Whiletheribosomalactivityofregeneratingkidneywasnotchanged,therewasanincreaseintheactivityofthepH5supernatantfractionobtainedfromregeneratingkidney.TheresultsprovidedevidencethattheincreasedincorporationobservedwiththepH5supernatantfractionobtainedfromregeneratingkidneywasduetoanincreasedactivityofelongationfactor1.
