Ribosomal protein synthesis in Xenopus laevis oocytes☆
[摘要] Thesynthesisofribosomalstructuralproteinshasbeenstudiedinthedevelopingoccytesofthefrog,Xenopuslaevis.Itwasfoundthatthesynthesisoftheseproteinswasregulatedduringoogenesissuchthattheirsynthesisappearedtobecoordinatedwiththeaccumulationof28sand18sribosomalRNAratherthanwith5sribosomalRNA.Duringmidoogenesisgreaterthan30%oftheproteinsynthesizedintheoocytecanbeaccountedforasribosomalstructuralprotein.Theassemblyofribosomesintheseoocytesisatsomelevelunderhormonalcontrol.
