Phospholipids and ATPase activities in the developing chick brain
[摘要] DuringtheembryogenesisofchickbrainanincreaseinthespecificactivitiesofNa,K-andMg-ATPasetakesplace.Wedeterminedthequantitiesofthephospholipidsphosphatidylserine,phosphatidylcholine,phosphatidylinositol,phosphatidylethanolamineandsphingomyelininthedevelopingchickenbrainbyquantitativethin-layerchromatographyandfoundchangesintheircompositionduringthefirst18daysafterincubation.TheincreaseintheNa,K-ATPaseactivitywasproportionaltotheincreaseinphosphatidylserineandphosphatidylcholine;theincreaseintheMg-ATPaseactivitywasapproximatelyproportionaltotheincreaseinphosphatidylethanolamine.
