Capacity of adult steel (SlSld) and dominant spotting (WWv) mouse skin to support melanogenesis☆
[摘要] Utilizingskingraftingtechniques,melanocyteswereincorporatedintoadultsteel(SlSld)anddominantspotting(WWv)hairfollicles,wheretheysurvivedandpigmentedanumberofhairgenerations.Previousinvestigationshaveindicatedthatthesteelallelesactontheembryonicskintopreventthesurvivalofmelanocytes.Thepresentstudysuggeststhatthisgeneactionmechanismmaybetemporaryanddoesnotcontinueintoadultlife.Inaddition,thestudydemonstratesthatsomehairbulbmelanocytescanpigmentmorethanonehairgeneration.
