Actinomycin D—Disruption of the mitotic gradient in the cleavage stages of the sea urchin embryo
[摘要] WhenembryosofParacentrotuslividusareactinomycinDtreatedimmediatelyafterfertilization,thevegetal-animalmitoticgradientiscompletelydisrupted.Ontheotherhand,ifthetreatmentisstartedatorafterthe16-cellstage(i.e.,afterthesegregationofthemicromeres),themitoticgradientisnotaffected.ThehypothesisisadvancedthatactinomycinDinhibitsatranscriptionaleventinthemicromereswhichregulatesthesynchronizationofthecelldivisionsintheearlycleavagestages.
