[摘要] Theuptakeofvalineintotheseaurchinegganditsincorporationintotheproteinfractionweredeterminedforthefirstfewminutesafterfertilization.By10minutesafterfertilization,increaseduptakecanbemeasured.Therateofuptakeimmediatelyafterfertilizationisdifficulttodetermine,becausematerialsarelostfromtheeggatthistime.Usingeggspreloadedwithvaline-3Handexposedtovaline-14Catthetimeoffertilization,itwasshownthatthelossanduptakearesimultaneous.Anincreasedrateofincorporationintotheproteinfractioncanbedetectedwithinthefirst2minutesafterfertilizationifthislossoflabeledvalineistakenintoconsideration.Thereisalsoalossofnewlysynthesizedproteinreleasedfromribosomesatfertilization.
