Changes in antigenicity of basement membrane during wound healing☆
[摘要] Thehealingofcutaneouswoundsofmicewasexaminedbyimmunofluorescent,phase,andelectronmicroscopy.Theresultssuggestedthattheepithelialbasementmembraneappearedtoundergodegradationearlyinthehealingprocessanddidnotregainallcharacteristicsuntilremodelingoftheredundantepidermiswascompleted.Itdidnotappeartofunctionasasubstratumforepithelialmigration;insteaditappearedthatthebasementmembranemaybepartiallyresponsibleforthemaintenanceofthemicroenvironmentoftheepidermis.Phasemicrographsillustratedalargenumberofdegeneratingbasalcellsatthecompletionofreepithelialization.Thesecellswereconfinedtothebasallayerandsuggestedthatwoundremodelingwasinitiatedbyselectivecelldeath.
