[摘要] 1.1.DeficienciesareproducedinthespinalpterylabyX-irradiationofaportionofthetrunkin212-daychickembryos.Theabnormalitiesarecharacterizedbytheabsenceofseveralrowsoffeathersandbytheformationofanapterium.2.2.Theradiodestructionofaportionofthespinalcordhasnoeffectonthespinalpteryla.3.3.Onthecontrary,radiolesionsproducedinthesomites,andconsequentlyinthedermatomes,resultinthenondifferentiationofthefeathersinpartofthespinalpteryla.4.4.X-raysslightlydelaytheepidermaldifferentiation,butdonotinterferewithitsfinalhistologicalstructure.Theyinhibitthetransformationoftheloosesubectodermalmesenchymeintodensedermis.Theresultingloosedermisisunabletoformfeathers.5.5.ThemechanismbywhichX-raysstopfeathermorphogenesisisdiscussed.Theepidermalradiolesionsarecertainlynotresponsibleforthenonindividualizationofadensedermis.X-raysmayacteitheronhypotheticalfactorsofthedensificationofthesubepidermalmesenchymalcellsorbygeneticalterationsofthesecells.
