Enhancement of differentiation of lens and pigment cells by ascorbic acid in cultures of neural retinal cells of chick embryos
[摘要] Whendissociatedcellsofneuralretinaeof9-day-oldchickembryoswereculturedinEagle'sminimumessentialmediumsupplementedwithdialyzedfetalcalfserum,boththeproliferationanddifferentiationoftheneuralretinalcellswereinhibited.Thesecellsremainedquiescentandflattened.Whenascorbicacidwasaddedtosuchamedium,thecellsstartedtogrowanddifferentiatedintolentoidbodiesandpigmentedcellsafterabout10days.
