[摘要] Thecell-freeaminoacidincorporationsystemderivedfromwheatgermissensitiveandefficient,andisbroadlytoleranttoheterologousmessengerRNA.Theusualcontrolincubation,donewithsolventalone,givesaverylowincorporation.ThemerepresenceofRNA,however,evenwhenitdoesnotcontributesignificanttemplateactivity,stimulatesendogenousproteinsynthesisofthesystembyasmuchasfourfold.Therefore,iftheinputRNAisheterogeneousinrespecttotemplateactivity,orisotherwiseverylowinsuchactivity,theresultingproductsoftranslationmaybeinpartorintotothoseofthewheatgermextractitself.
