δ-Crystallin mRNA in chick lens cells: mRNA accumulates during differential stimulation of δ-crystallin synthesis in cultured cells
[摘要] Increasingspecializationforδ-crystallinsynthesisisaprominentfeatureofthedifferentiationofchicklensepithelialcellsintolensfibercellsandcanbestudiedinculturedembryoniclensepithelia.Quantitationofδ-crystallinmRNAbymolecularhybridizatontoa[3H]DNAcomplementarytoδ-crystallinmRNAdemonstratesthatdifferentiation,bothinovoandintissueculture,isassociatedwiththeaccumulationofδ-crystallinmRNA.Inthecultures,thereisanoverallstimulationofproteinsynthesis,includingδ-crystallinmRNAduringthefirst5hrinvitro.Between5and24hrinvitrothereisadifferentialstimulationofδ-crystallinsynthesisandanaccumulationofδ-crystallinmRNAthatcanquantitativelyaccountforthisstimulation.
