Denervation effects on aspartate carbamyl transferase, thymidine kinase, and uridine kinase activities in newt regenerates☆
[摘要] Activitiesofenzymesinthedenovopathway,aspartatecarbamyltransferase,andsalvagepathway,thymidineanduridinekinases,fornucleotideprecursorsynthesiswereexaminedunderconditionsofinnervationanddenervationintheamputatednewtforelimb.ItwasfoundthatACTaseanduridinekinasewereactivethroughoutregeneration(Days0–26)ofinnervatedlimbs,andthatthymidinekinasebecameactiveonlyatthenerveindependentstage.Denervationslightlyreducedthelevelsofactivitybutdidnotalterthepatternofactivityforanyoftheseenzymesforupto26daysaftersimultaneousamputationanddenervation.Reductioninlevelsofactivityindenervatedlimbsbecamemoreprominentastheinnervatedcontrollimbsenteredthenerveindependentstage,butatnotimethroughoutthe26-dayperioddidlevelsofactivityindenervatesfalltobaselinevalues.NervesapparentlyhavelittleeffectontheunderlyingmetabolicpathwayswhichproduceprecursorsforDNAsynthesis.
