Morphogenetic determination of the dermoepidermal interface during tail regeneration in Rana catesbeiana☆
[摘要] Duringregenerationoftheamputatedtadpoletail,reconstructionoftheepithelialbasallaminaandbasementlamellaoccursonlyaftertheothermajormorphogeneticprocessesarewellestablished.At4daysaftertailtransectionofthebullfrogtadpole,electronmicroscopyoftheinternalsurfaceofthebasalcelllayeroftheblastemalepitheliumrevealsittoberelativelyfreeofextracellularmatrix.By11daysabasallaminaofdistinctregularityhasformed,andthefirstrodletsandfiberssignalingthereplacementofthecollagenousbasementlamellaareidentified.At15daysthebasalcellsoftheepitheliumstarttoexhibitspecializationoftheirinternalcellsurfaces:Hemidesmosomesandassociatedtonofilamentsappear,andtheadepidermalglobularlayerisformed.Orthogonalpackingofcollagenpliesbeginsby19daysaftertransection,thenumberoflayersexceeding22inthelatterstagesofregeneration.
