A sequence of dependent stages in the development of Dictyostelium discoideum☆
[摘要] ElevenmarkerenzymeswhichaccumulateduringdiscretestagesofdevelopmentinDictyosteliumdiscoideumwerefollowedintwoindependenttemperature-sensitivemutantstrains.StrainTS2hasatemperature-sensitiveperiodduringaggregationandremainsasasmoothlawnatthenonpermissivetemperature(27°C).Itdevelopsnormallyat22°C.StrainDTS6hasatemperature-sensitivelesioninthepost-aggregationstageandfailstoformslugsat27°C.Earlyenzymesaccumulateinthesestrainsatthenonpermissivetemperaturebutlatestage-specificenzymesfailtoaccumulateat27°C.Thepatternofaccumulationofspecificenzymesintheseandothermorphologicalmutantsdefinesalineardependentpathwayofatleasteightstepswhichdeterminestemporaldifferentiationinthisorganism.DevelopmentinDictyosteliumisalsodependentonenvironmentalcueswhichdeterminetheonsetofdifferentiationandthepreparationforculmination.
