Expression of teratoma-associated antigens on murine ova and early embryos: Identification of two early differentiation markers☆

[摘要] Specificallyabsorbedrabbitantiseratoamousetesticularteratomawereusedtostudytheexpressionofthreeheteroantigensoncellsurfacesofearlymouseembryos.Thisantiserumisknowntodefinethreeantigensonthesurfaceofmurinetumorcells,thoughitdoesnotbindtocellsofnormaladulttissue.AntigenI,physicallyassociatedwithH-2antigensinL-cellplasmamembranesandfoundonmanytransplantablemousetumors(7),isexpressedbyovaandmorulae.AntigenIpersistsoncellsoftheinner-cellmassbeyondimplantation,butisnotdetectedontrophoblast.Incontrast,antigenII,foundonteratomaandhepatomacells,isabsentfromcleavageembryosandisfirstexpressedondifferentiationofthetrophoblastpriortoimplantation.AntigenIII,whichisapparentlyteratomaspecific,isabsentfromallembryonicmaterialstudied.
