Effect of the wingless (wg1) mutation on wing and haltere development in Drosophila melanogaster
[摘要] Geneticanddevelopmentalstudiesofwingless(wg1),anewsecondchromosomerecessivemutationinDrosophilamelanogaster,haveshownthatitaffectsnotonlywingandhalteredevelopment(givingrisetowinglessand/orhalterlessflies),butalsoresultsinvariousabnormalitiesofthemesothorax.Thelarvaedestinedtodevelopintowinglessand/orhalterlessfliespossessedunderdevelopedmesothoracicand/ormetathoracicimaginaldiscs.
