Hyaluronidase activity during thyroxine-induced tadpole metamorphosis☆
[摘要] ImmersionofRanacatesbeianatadpolesin10−7Ml-thyroxinegivesrisetoincreasesinbrainandbackskinhyaluronidaseactivity.After10daysofimmersion,thereisa1.9-foldincrementinbrainenzymeactivityanda2.5-foldincrementinthebackskin.Theriseinactivityoccursmainlybetweentheseventhandtenthdaysoftreatment.Duringthe10-daytreatment,hyaluronatecontentinthebackskindecreasesto22%ofthecontrollevelwhilesulfatedglycosaminoglycanincreasesmarkedly,butnosignificantchangeinbrainglycosaminoglycancompositionoccurs.Theonsetofmajormetamorphiceventswasobservedbetweentheseventhandtenthdaysofimmersioninthyroxine.
