[摘要] DevelopingoocytesofthesilkmothsActiaslunaandAntheraeapolyphemuswereshowntocontainsignificantamountsofpolyadenylatedRNA.ThispresumedmessengerRNAcomprises0.2to0.3%ofthetotalextractableRNA,andisfoundexclusivelyinsubribosomalfractionsofooplasm.Pulse-chaseandothertime-coursestudiesindicatethatthenursecellsaretheprobablesourceofthisaswellasotherfractionsofooplasmicRNA.LabeledpolyadenylatedRNAextractedfrombothnursecellsandooplasmappearsinsimilar,heterodisperse,fractionswithamajorpeakat18Sinsucrosegradients.NoevidenceofthepresenceofpolysomesorofactiveproteinorRNAsynthesiswasdetectedintheoocytesduringvitellogenesis.
