[摘要] InthemidprepupalperiodofdevelopmentofDrosophilamelanogastertwomajorchangesingeneactivityoccurinthesalivaryglands:(a)Themidprepupalpuffs(e.g.,63E,75CD)areinducedand(b)thelateprepupalpuffs(e.g.,62E,74EF,75B,and93F)acquirethecompetencetorespondtoecdysone.Theseeventscanbestudiedinvitro.Bothrequirethattheecdysonetitrebeverylow(<5×10−9,M)andbotheventsdependuponproteinsynthesis.
