Periodic movements of Dictyostelium discoideum sorocarps
[摘要] WereportperiodicmovementsduringerectionofDictyosteliumdiscoideum(Dd)sorocarps.OurobservationsleadtotheworkinghypothesisthatDdsorocarperectionoccursbytwosuperimposedprocesses:oneperiodic,withamodalperiodof612min,andonecontinuous.WetentativelyidentifytheperiodicprocesswithcellmovementintotheapexoftheDdstalk,andthecontinuousprocesswithcellvacuolation,togetherwithstalksheathextension.
