The expression of β-glucuronidase during preimplantation development of mouse embryos☆
[摘要] β-Glucuronidaseactivitywasmeasuredinmouseembryosduringthepreimplantationperiodofdevelopmentbyusingamicrofluorometricassay.A100-foldincreaseinactivitywasobservedbetween57(8-cellstage)and84hr(morulae)ofdevelopment.Activitychangesbetween30and60hrwerealsosignificant.Geneticvariantsofβ-glucuronidaseoccurbetweenthestrainsofmiceC57BL6JandC3HHeJwhichdifferinlevelsofactivityandheatdenaturationkinetics.Activitychangesandheatdenaturationkineticsofβ-glucuronidaseinC57BL6,C3HHeJandF1hybridembryoswerecompared,anditwasdemonstratedthatpaternalgeneswereexpressedduringthe100-foldincreaseinactivityandthatembryonicgenesmaybefunctioningbetween30and60hrofdevelopment.
