Studies on the action of nerve growth factor: I. Characterization of a simplified in vitro culture system for dorsal root and sympathetic ganglia☆
[摘要] Neuriteoutgrowthfromdorsalroot(DRG)andsympatheticgangliahasbeenstudiedutilizingasimplifiedinvitroculturesystemforintactganglia.Attachmentofgangliatotissuecultureplateswasachievedafterabriefincubationofgangliaontheplatesinthepresenceof100%fetalcalfserumor5%ovalbumininF12medium.Neuriteoutgrowthfromdorsalrootandsympatheticgangliawasdependentonthecontinuedpresenceofnervegrowthfactor(NGF)andontheNGFconcentration.TheNGFinducedneuriteoutgrowthfromDRGculturedinserum-freemediumwasdelayedapproximately24hrcomparedtotheoutgrowthinserum-containingmedium.
