Tubulin and actin synthesis during brain development☆
[摘要] Chickbrainproteinsfrom5-through13-dayembryoswerelabeledwithl-[35S]methioninefor30mininvitroandanalyzedbytwo-dimensionalgelelectrophoresis.Autoradiographsofthegelswerescannedwithacomputer-coupleddensitometertomeasuretherelativeratesofproteinsynthesis.Theactinsandthetubulinswerethemostabundantproteinsandhadthehighestratesofsynthesis.βandγactinweresynthesizedatconstantratesthroughoutthisperiodofdevelopment,buttherateoftubulinsynthesisincreasedfourfold.Sixαtubulinsandtwoβtubulinsweredistinguished,andtheywereallsynthesizedatalltimes.Therelativeratesofsynthesisoftheseformschangedwithdevelopmentinacomplexpattern,butthestoichiometryofα:βremained1:1.
