[摘要] Usingchimerasconsistingofchickembryosthathadreceivedsubstitutiongraftsofquailsomites,wehavedeterminedthedistalmostextensionofthemyogenicprimordiaintheoutgrowingwingbudat5daysofincubation.AtHamburger-Hamiltonstage25themostdistalpremusclecellisconsistently300μmormorefromtheapexofthewingmesoblast.Thestage25wingtipresemblesveryearlywholelimbbudsinnothavingproceededbeyondthemesenchymalstateorhavingexpressedmarkersofterminaldifferentiation.However,unlikeearlywholelimbbudsitisfreeofamyogenicsubpopulation.Wethereforeproposethatthestage25wingtipistheappropriatesystemforinvitroandmolecularstudiesofcartilagedifferentiation.
