Histidine-rich protein in developing rat epidermis☆
[摘要] Thelocalizationofhistidine-richproteinintheepidermisofdevelopingratwasstudiedhistochemicallyandimmunohistochemically.ThefindingswiththePaulyreactionwereidenticaltothosewithantiseratohistidine-richproteinshavingtwodifferentmolecularweights,bothpurifiedfromnewbornratepidermis.Histidine-richproteinwasdetecteddiffuselythroughouttheepidermisbeforefetalgranuleswereformed.Bothfetalgranulesandkeratohyalingranulesshowedconcentrationofhistidine-richprotein(s),butthecellswithfetalgranulesremainedatthesuperficiallayerofthebody,whereascellswithkeratohyalingranulesdifferentiatedtoformcornifiedcells.Thefindingssuggestthathistidine-richproteinmaybechemicallyheterogeneousanditsbiologicalfunctionmaynotbelimitedtoformationofthematrixincornifiedcells.
