Slow muscle myoblasts differentiating in vitro synthesize both slow and fast myosin light chains
[摘要] Whetherfastandslowskeletalmusclesoftheembryodevelopfromcellsofacommonoriginorfromtwoseparatecellularoriginsisnotknown.Recentevidencesuggeststhatpriortoinnervationallmusclesoftheembryoareofonetype,thefasttype,i.e.,allsynthesizefastbutnotslowmyosinlightchains.Innervationhasbeenthoughttoplaythecentralroleintheshiftofafasttoaslowmuscle.Experimentsreportedheredemonstratethatmyoblastsfromslowmuscleregionsoftheembryowhenisolatedintissueculturedifferentiateintomyotubeswhichsynthesizebothfastandslowmyosinlightchains,andthatinnervationisnotrequiredtoinitiateslowmyosinlight-chainsynthesis.
