[摘要] Acytologicalstudyoffertilizationintheteleost,Catostomuscommersoni,wascarriedoutinordertoquantifygametechangesinducedbyspermentryandnormaleggactivation.MaternalmetaphaseIIspindlelengthchanges,blastodiscdiameterchanges,andspermmetamorphosiswerequantifiedandfoundtobeassociatedwithnormalfertilization.Atthebeginningofspermtransformationtoapronucleus,anooplasmicspecializationwasfoundattheeggcortexjustabovethefertilizingspermcell.Thegametechangesmentionedabovedidnotoccurunderwater-deprivedconditionswhichallowedspermentrybutnoteggactivationorsperm-pronucleustransformation.Theseresultsindicatethateggactivationisnecessaryfornormalsperm-pronucleusmetamorphosis.
