Stage dependency in eliciting target-dependent enhanced neurite outgrowth from spinal cord explants in vitro☆
[摘要] Explantsoffrogtadpolespinalcordexhibitvaryingdegreesofenhancedneuriticoutgrowthintissueculturethatisdependentonthepresenceofappropriatelystagedlimbtargettissue.Nervefiberoutgrowthfromearlylarvalspinalcordswasgreatlyaugmentedinthepresenceofearlylarvallimbtissue,butwasunresponsivetoolderlimbtissues.Spinalcordexplantsofmidlarvalanimals,ontheotherhand,failedtorespondsignificantlytolimbtissuesoverabroaddevelopmentalrange.Nerve-targetgrowthinteractionsmustberegardedasdevelopmentaltime-dependentsystemswithconsiderationofthedifferentiativestateofbothcomponents.
