Change in expression of the actin gene family during early sea urchin development☆
[摘要] Expressionoftheactingenefamilywasstudiedduringearlyseaurchindevelopmentusinginvitrotranslationandnucleicacidhybridizationtechniques.Poly(A)+RNAfromfour-cellandgastrula-stageS.purpuratusembryoswastranslatedinvitroandthetranslationproductsweremonitoredforthepresenceofactin.Inaddition,poly(A)+andtotalRNAwerepreparedfromvariousstagesofdevelopment,electrophoresedonagarosegels,transferredtodiazobenzyloxymethylpaper,andthenhybridizedwithaclonedactincDNAprobe.ResultsoftheseexperimentsindicatethatthereisasharpincreaseinthelevelofRNAcodingforactinduringearlydevelopment,andthattherearetwoformsofactinspecificRNAexhibitingdifferentpatternsofcontrol.
