Immunofluorescent localization of collagens, fibronectin, and laminin during terminal differentiation of odontoblasts☆
[摘要] ThelocalizationofcollagenstypesI,II,III,IV,laminin,andfibronectinwasanalyzedinmouseembryonicmolarsbyindirectimmunofluorescence.Usingaffinity-purifiedantibodies,alltheseantigensexceptcollagentypeIIweredetectedintoothgermsandparticularlyattheepithelio-mesenchymaljunction.CollagenstypeI,typeIV,andlamininwerelocalizedatthejunctionbefore,during,andafterodontoblaststerminaldifferentiation.ThestainingpatternscorrespondingtotypeIIIcollagenandfibronectinweremodifiedduringthepolarizationofodontoblasts.CollagentypeIIIpresentattheepithelio-mesenchymaljunctioncouldnolongerbedetectedinthisregionwhenodontoblastswerepolarized.Fibronectin,surroundingpreodontoblasts,wasconfinedtotheepithelio-mesenchymaljunctionwhenodontoblastswerefullypolarized.Previousstudieshadshownthatthepresenceofabasementmembraneandassociatedmaterialwasaprerequisiteforthepolarizationofodontoblasts.Therefore,theredistributionofcollagentypeIIIandfibronectinwasdiscussedintermsoffibronectin-collageninteractionsandtransmembranouscontrolofthecytoskeletonactivityinthedifferentiatingodontoblasts.
