Hyaluronate turnover during chondrogenesis in the developing chick limb and axial skeleton☆
[摘要] Hyaluronidaseactivityisfirstdetectedinlegandwingbudsandtheaxialtrunkregionofchickembryosattheonsetofcartilagedifferentiationandcontinuesduringsubsequentchondrogenesis.Incorporationofisotopicprecursorsintohyaluronateisdemonstratedinearlystagesofdevelopmentofbothlimbbudandaxialskeleton.Theratiosofincorporationofacetate-3Hintohyaluronateandchondroitinsulfateinbothregionsishigherpriortotheappearanceofcartilagethansubsequentlyandisgreateratallthestagesofaxialchondrogenesisstudiedthanatcorrespondingstagesinthelimbbud.Ahypothesisisfurtherdiscussedinwhichhyaluronateproductionaccompaniesmesenchymalcellmovementsanditsremovalisnecessaryfordifferentiationofthesecells.
