Reconstruction of brain tissue from cell suspensions: II. Specific enhancement of aggregation of embryonic cerebral cells by supernatant from homologous cell cultures☆
[摘要] Acell-freesupernatantfromshort-termmonolayerculturesof14-dayembryonicmousecerebrumcellsmarkedlyandspecificallyenhancedthehistotypicaggregationofsuspensionsofdissociatedcerebrumcellsfrommouseandfromchickembryos.Itdidnothavethiseffectoncellsfromotherbrainregions,orfromnonnervoustissuesfromeitherspecies;itseffectwassomewhatgreaterontheaggregationofmousecerebrumcellsthanofchickcerebrumcells.Itsactionwasconcentration-dependentandcriticallydependentontheembryonicageofthedonorcellsandtheaggregatingcells.Theresultsarediscussedintermsofcellsurfaceinteractionsandtheirimplicationsforneuralhistogenesisanddifferentiation.
